At the A Wright Beginning Foundation Special Initiative, our mission is to bridge the digital divide and empower youth with the essential skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. We are committed to creating equitable access to technology education, ensuring that every young person—regardless of background—has the opportunity to develop the knowledge, confidence, and resources required to thrive academically and professionally.

Led by Mark Johnson, the Initiative provides scholarships, IT certification funding, job-interview preparation, college readiness programs, and resume development. These initiatives not only equip students with technical and professional skills but also nurture self-confidence, critical thinking, and leadership abilities that benefit them throughout life. By empowering youth, we strengthen families, neighborhoods, and communities, fostering a future where technology serves as a tool for opportunity, innovation, and growth.
